Quick Tips to Keep Your Glass Shower Clean

Whether you’ve recently renovated your bathroom or if you just want your shower to look brand new forever, we’ve compiled a few quick tips to help keep your glass shower clean.

Tip #1: Squeegee After Showering

You have a beautiful glass shower, but now you want to keep it looking squeaky clean! Hard water can leave stains on glass and tile. The reason that hard water leaves stains is because it has a higher mineral content than “soft” water.

The best way to prevent hard water stains is to squeegee the glass after showering. This will keep the water from “sitting” too long on the glass and leaving unsightly hard water “spots.” We recommend using a squeegee for a minute after each shower to help keep spots and scale from accumulating on glass components!

Tip #2: Install DIAMON-FUSION® COATING

Best quality glass coating

Diamon-Fusion® applied through our certified dealers ensures the highest-quality application process. The coating permanently bonds with glass creating an ultra-thin barrier that stops staining and corrosion.

Uniform coating coverage

Having too much or too little of a protective coating on your glass can be a problem. DFI’s certified applicators are experienced and trained on how to apply the right amount of coating, every time.

Industry-best warranties

Residential and commercial surfaces treated with Diamon-Fusion® protective coating come with a lifetime and 15-year warranty, respectively. To learn more about DFI’s warranties click here.

Machine (FuseCube™) applied

Many glass dealers who treat their glass with Diamon-Fusion® utilize DFI’s FuseCube™ glass protectant coating machine, ensuring consistent coverage on both sides of the glass for the double the benefits.

Tip #2: Use Non-Abrasive Cleaners and Sponges

It’s important to use cleaners and sponges that will not damage, corrode or scratch shower glass and hardware. We recommend using Soft Scrub Lemon Cleanser and a Scotch-Brite non-scratch sponge. Other non-abrasive cleaners include Lysol bathroom cleaner, DOW Liquid Comet Bathroom Cleaner, and Windex.

Avoid using abrasive brushes and cleaners like Ajax and Powder Comet. They could leave scratches on the glass as well as damage the shower hardware and if your glass has been treated with EasyClean10 this will also void your 10 year warranty.

With these tips, you’ll find it’s easier than ever to keep your glass shower clean and shining!
