Quick Tips to Keep Your Glass Shower Clean

Whether you’ve recently renovated your bathroom or if you just want your shower to look brand new forever, we’ve compiled a few quick tips to help keep your glass shower clean.

Tip #1: Squeegee After Showering

You have a beautiful glass shower, but now you want to keep it looking squeaky clean! Hard water can leave stains on glass and tile. The reason that hard water leaves stains is because it has a higher mineral content than “soft” water.

The best way to prevent hard water stains is to squeegee the glass after showering. This will keep the water from “sitting” too long on the glass and leaving unsightly hard water “spots.” We recommend using a squeegee for a minute after each shower to help keep spots and scale from accumulating on glass components!

Tip #2: Install EasyClean10 Treated Glass

If you are renovating your bathroom and want to save future hours spent cleaning the shower, invest in glass that has been treated with EasyClean10. At ESP Supply, we can provide and install glass that has the EasyClean10 coating which comes with a 10 year warranty from the manufacturer.

EasyClean10 technology will help keep hard water and soap scum from sticking to the glass. EasyClean10 is an ultra-thin transparent coating that completely adheres to the glass surface and provides protection that will repel both water and oil based stains.

No longer is scrubbing with harsh toxic cleaners needed, EasyClean10 makes cleaning glass so simple. The superior protection also helps prevent the build-up of mold and harmful bacteria, promoting a germ free environment. It is truly low-maintenance shower glass and also perfect for glass railings & fencing.

ESP Supply is a registered dealer of EasyClean10.

Tip #2: Use Non-Abrasive Cleaners and Sponges

It’s important to use cleaners and sponges that will not damage, corrode or scratch shower glass and hardware. We recommend using Soft Scrub Lemon Cleanser and a Scotch-Brite non-scratch sponge. Other non-abrasive cleaners include Lysol bathroom cleaner, DOW Liquid Comet Bathroom Cleaner, and Windex.

Avoid using abrasive brushes and cleaners like Ajax and Powder Comet. They could leave scratches on the glass as well as damage the shower hardware and if your glass has been treated with EasyClean10 this will also void your 10 year warranty.

With these tips, you’ll find it’s easier than ever to keep your glass shower clean and shining!
